With flu season upon us, it’s now time for our Mahora Medical community to pop in and get your flu shot. Vaccination is important to protect yourself, your whanau, and your community from the seasonal flu virus.
Here is what you need to know about this year’s Flu Vaccine:
Flu Vaccination Saves Lives
· The flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself from severe flu illness, hospitalisation, and death.
· Vaccination not only protects you but also those around you, especially vulnerable groups such as young children, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions.
Flu Shots are Safe and Effective
· The flu vaccine is rigorously tested for safety and efficacy.
· Vaccination is updated every year to protect against the most current flu strains.
Quick and Convenient
· Flu shots are quick, making it easy to get vaccinated on your schedule.
You’re Not Just Helping Yourself—You’re Helping Your Community
· By getting vaccinated, you contribute to community immunity (herd immunity), helping reduce the spread of the flu in your community
